Objectives

To provide a forum for networking and sharing information with fellow betta enthusiasts.
To actively promote the selective breeding of various colour and finnage strains of bettas through participation in competitions and shows and by making “Splendens Starter Stock” available to new members.
To undertake fund raising to conduct competitions and shows with an International Betta Congress qualified judge.
To undertake fund raising to enable bulk purchases of items of interest/use to the hobby.
To provide education on the proper care, needs and attributes of bettas so as to help dispel the myth of the ‘throw away pet’ and disassociate this label from bettas.
To record, preserve and maintain wild species of bettas through a Species Preservation Program
