2pm-5pm on 14 July 2012 at Holsworthy (SBG)
The Sydney Betta Gathering (SBG ) will have a table show with winners to be selected on a “people’s choice” basis.
After the meeting, there will be a photo competition at Ausaqua Forums for the best fish photos of the day.
2pm-5pm on 6 October 2012 at Lidcombe (AGM)
This is the Sydney Splendens Society’s AGM, with details of other activities to come.

The meeting on 28 April 2012 was a great success! David showed us his awesome fishroom with over 140 tanks and containers, and gave a presentation on how to culture infusoria. There were also many gorgeous bettas in attendance.
For those who didn’t hear, we’ve pencilled in another meeting for July, this time at Holsworthy, details to follow shortly.

The next Sydney betta gathering and meeting of the Sydney Splendens Society Inc will be on Saturday 28 April 2012 at Lidcombe, from 2pm.
All welcome – you do not have to be a club member to attend, we would love to meet you!

The society has arranged to obtain a HM pair from Jodi-Lea for the raffle, AND Jodi-Lea has also very kindly offered to donate 2 more HM pairs to the raffle. So that’s 3 imported HM pairs we will have in the raffle!
What to bring:
Any bettas you’d love to show off (let us know if you’ll need a beanie box)
Your camera, if you wish (please seek permission before uploading photos of other attendees)
A plate of food or something to drink
Raffle prizes to donate (eg fish, plants, live food, other useful bits and pieces)
Money for raffle tickets ($10 for 12 tickets or $20 for 25 tickets)

The Sydney Splendens Society Inc’s AGM will be held at 12.00pm on 9 October 2011 at Holsworthy NSW. All members are encouraged to attend. Guests are also welcome.

2. Receipt of Treasurer’s report
3. Election of office bearers for 2011/2012 (President, Secretary, Treasurer)
4. Consideration of any other business that may be brought before the meeting.
Financial members only are entitled to vote at the AGM.
The meeting will be followed by a BYO meat BBQ, and our customary raffle. Members are also welcome to bring along fish for a table show, and any items they would like to swap or sell.
It would be appreciated if those attending could also please bring a salad and/or a desert.

Entry fee (to cover cost of equipment) is $1 per fish for SSS members, and $2 per fish for non-members.
Benching of show fish will commence at 2pm.
Voting – by ballot – will commence after the presentation.
A presentation will be held once ballots are counted, following the raffle.
